Illustrated catalogue of the retrospective of the 1882 adn 1883 expositions of Société des Arts Incohérents, a sort of proto-surrealist group which flourished between 1882-1896 under the direction of Jules Lévy. It was made-up mostly of members of Les Hydropathes, a group of poets and theater people, and the members of the Chat Noir, famous for its namesake cabaret and art magazine. Several illustrations throughout. Bound in three quarter cloth, with marbled paper, the original illustrated wrappers bound in.
