Access to Anne Waldman’s text, “Putting Makeup on Empty Space,” the ostensible inspiration for the event / documentation / book, is rendered all but illegible, held captive within the confines of the pale of photographic documentation of Shi-Zheng’s performance, and Tuttle’s physical contribution consists in “specially coloring” the red borders of the enclosure in which the text is held.
