The books of the Kaldewey Press for 2006 were all treatments of texts celebrating the joys of wine and the potentiation of life that it represents. The present work, presented in an elegant accordion-fold in which the text is calligraphed by composer and artist Bun-Ching Lam against an evocation of the white light spectrum, depicted in watercolor as an abstract ground, suggesting that wine is the handmaiden of illumination, vision, analysis, and joy.
